Facilities
We provide great facilities and equipment.
In the UK, all of our practices meet the rigorous standards of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons voluntary Practice Standards Scheme.
We are also investing up to £50m million each year in our practice facilities, clinical equipment and technology to improve standards of clinical care and our colleague and client experience.
In the UK, this includes rolling out a brand new CVS minimum practice facility standard – specifically created by our veterinary surgeons, nurses, practice managers, receptionists and patient care assistants. Designed around colleagues and the way they work, it includes:
- Well laid out clinical spaces, including; multiple consultation rooms, spacious operating theatres, central preparation areas, specialist dental suites, in-house laboratories and digital x-ray facilities.
- Modern office spaces, ample kitchen and food preparation facilities, proper rest areas where colleagues can take a break, and staff showers and lockers.
- Large and welcoming reception areas with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs to keep stress to a minimum, along with easy access to consultation rooms for clients and patients.
New Practices
Added to this we are building new vet small animal first opinion practices in areas with high pet ownership which are underserved by vets. This year, we have built two new practices and relocated six practices to new sites.
We have also recently built a new £13.5m state-of-the-art Bristol Veterinary Specialists referrals hospital in the South West.
This enables our vets to do the work they want to do, allows our vets to offer an increased range of services, and creates a nice place to work.
