Large purpose-built Gourley Vets practice opens in Denton
Gourley Veterinary surgeons are continuing to invest in their surgeries and facilities by opening a large purpose-built practice in Crown Point Shopping Centre in Denton[1]. It follows the recent refurbishment of Gourley Veterinary practice in’ Ashton-Under-Lyne in September 2023.
Gourley’s veterinary practices in Hyde, Stalybridge, Droylsden and Newton Heath are being merged and relocated into the new Denton practice. This new spacious and modern site offers a wide range of services and a significant availability of appointments to clients and their pets.
New facilities at the Denton surgery will include: three consulting rooms – allowing a greater availability of appointments; a fully equipped operating theatre - with the latest veterinary equipment; a dedicated dental suite – with high-tech dentistry services; an ultrasound scanner; an in-house laboratory and digital x-ray facilities – ensuring speedy turnaround of tests; separate dog and cat hospital wards – keeping stress to a minimum for pets; and a spacious reception - with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs.
The new practice’s central location makes the site easily accessible to clients. There is ample on-site parking including disabled access. The surgery is also in close proximity to a range of retail outlets.

The new site in Denton gives us the opportunity to develop a spacious new practice with additional facilities and services – meaning clients will be able to have their pet’s consultations, treatments and surgery all in one place.”
To staff the practice, four vets will collectively offer a wide range of veterinary services. Four veterinary nurses, two patient care advisors and four receptionists are also part of the experienced team, looking after our clients and their pets.
The new practice in Denton will be open for routine consultations from 8.30am until 7pm Monday - Friday, with a fully operational practice in Ashton under Lyne continuing to offer our services every Saturday from 9am - 4pm. The new site will work alongside and complement the services already offered at our Ashton-Under-Lyne practice. Out-of-hours emergency veterinary care will continue to be provided by MiNightVet Manchester based at PetMedics in Worsley.
